Disturbing if you ask me that a woman wrote all of that, but then again the mod is basically smut aimed at women. Lot of sexist, creepy, cringy, and rapey crap in that mod and go figure a lot of it comes out Bishop's mouth aka the only actual romance option aka a stolen character from Neverwinter Nights. Even as a guy and one that goes into Loverslab from time to time, that mod made me feel uncomfortable as hell. I'm certainly not the intended audience, but Skyrim Romance is just downright god-awful. I love me a good companion with a good quest line, but after doing this research, I'm really starting to rethink skyrim romance :/ If you guys think this isn't worth the download, what are some of your favorite voiced/interesting companions you've had? My main go-to's are Inigo, Lucien, Kaidan2, and Aurlyn Dawnstone. Has anyone played through it and can give me some insights? Is Bishop the only character you can actually romance? Has the mod been stable during your play through? It also seems like there is a custom voiced child NPC? I'd love to hear what some of you guys think. Then again there are some elements that seem really promising - many of the characters seem to know and have a history with each other, which to me feels super immersive and interesting. Upon my research into Skyrim Romance I've heard some pretty controversial things - copyright issues, "rapey" characters, among other things. Anyway, I got interesting NPCs because as much as I love Kaidan, using him with every play through starts to feel a little un-immersive. I haven't had Interesting NPCs for too long, so I can't exactly speak to my experience with that yet. Kaiden, in my opinion, is super well written and hilarious when he interacts with Lucien. He only really starts 'coming on' to you if you choose to put on that Amulet of Mara and facilitate a romance. Kaidan has been amazing, mostly because of the clear difference between companionship and romance.

I've been looking for good male follower/potential romance mods for a while and have mainly been using Kaidan and Interesting NPCs. I recently discovered that It's currently going through beta testing for SE so I decided to look into the mod a little further to see if it was really worth the download. So, I've had my eye on Skyrim Romance for a little while, but I play Special Edition, so unfortunately (or perhaps fortunately) I've had to wait.
